This is very small!
This is a small Turtle Tank Kit, Starter Aquarium for a baby turtle, fish or amphibians. It's made with plastic walls and measures 15.75"W x 8"D x 9"T. It comes with everything you need to get your pet started except for the food. There is a basking platform, a low water 3 watt filter system, a warming lamp, a sm. bag of bedding stones & a couple of little 2" plastic bushes. It seems like an okay kit but the clip on warming lamps cord is too bulky & heavy to sit on the side wall of the tank. In my opinion it's not very durable & is missing any type of instructions to correctly set up the tank other than how to attach the suction cup legs to the basking platform.

Starter kit for amphibians
Our 3 and 5 year old boys are outdoorsmen. They spend their days collecting crickets, toads and frogs, lizards and skinks of all sorts. We've been through more of those little plastic cages than I can count - usually the doors break off in a few days of constant use, or they've cracked. When I saw this little starter aquarium, I just knew this was right for them. Right off the bat, it's a great size for their catches. They're having fun creating a habitat for their critters - though rather than using the plastic plants included, they're using what they find outside. Sand from the sandbox has made its way into the tank. They're having a ball making a world for their potential finds. Cute tank but too small for turtles except as temporary nursery.
For a starter tank, this is on the high end for packaged tanks this size. I have several rimless curved edge planted and salt water tanks so this seems a good option with its more modern look and all-in-one components. I planned to use it as a holding tank for new small breed fish, single male betta or shrimp but quality of the parts doesn't reflect in the price so that's the reason for 3 stars. The light and filter should be better quality, especially advertised as a turtle setup.The setup, size, filter and light for this tank would only very temporary starter tank for a new hatchling or BABY turtle. A cute little red eared slider will quickly outgrow this tank if cleanliness and their health are priorities. Turtles are messy eaters and produce a lot of waste as well so the filter limitat

It's not that large
I think that this shouldn't have been labeled "Large Turtle Tank Kit" It definitely is a starter aquarium because it isn't that big. If you were to start a tortoise off in this tank, it would grow out of it VERY fast and then you'll be left with this tank. Any other turtle would also outgrow this tank too fast. I guess if you had some kind of goldfish that could work but it doesn't come with a cover on top so the fish might jump out. So as far as functionality goes, I think just make sure you know that it isn't that big and whatever you place in there will outgrow this really fast. The value for money doesn't really match for what it's supposed to be. It looks fine but, be cautious of the size. Quality overall is ok for what it is.
